Lee Eu’s work is a synthesis diverse styles in which rhythms and lines create an autonomous and poetic universe. Removing all figurative elements, Lee Eu seeks the materiality of its images through different processes, gesture, material and colour, alternating the phases of letting go to a more meticulous and repetitive work. The artist invites us to a sensitive and highly pictorial experience in which colours and the overflowing of elusive materials take over. In her Matière Paysage series , Lee Eu draws lines on a canvas similar to the grooves carved by the wind. Pure pictoriality takes over in the pleasure and the internal movement of materials.
